Ray Lustig

Composer and Musician

Ray Lustig

A native New Yorker, composer and musician Ray Lustig’s production ranges from symphonic and experimental opera-theater to songwriting.  His music is performed in concert halls, theaters, and festivals around the world, sometimes literally — his 2013 Latency Canons was the first orchestral piece to be premiered simultaneously at Carnegie Hall and elsewhere, with an orchestra made up of ensembles on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean remotely connected via the internet.

Ray lives in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and teaches Composition and Advanced Composition at the Juilliard Extension.
