Description

Al the Coordinator is Aldo D’Orrico.

An incredibly talented musician whose technique goes hand in hand with the empathy of his compositions. A high gritty voice due to his past as a stoner-rocker. He founded rock bands as Miss Fräulein and Kjümmo, while spreading the bluegrass gospel with Muleskinner Boys.
Al the Coordinator is his unexpected, astonishing solo project. Folk, bluegrass, blues and country are the foundations of his wonderful sound landscape.

RAVEN WALTZ is his second album, following the debut “Join the Coordinator” (La Lumaca Dischi, 2015). It is an enlargement of Al’s horizons and views – the songs are still based on a backbone made of acoustic guitar and voice, but contain new elements as piano, violin, mandolin, banjo, double bass, harmonium, solina and percussions.

RAVEN WALTZ is especially interesting because it marks the path of a musician rooted in rock and heavy metal (thesis) that at some point of his career turned to folk and bluegrass (antithesis), to finally expand the songwriting with freedom and craft (synthesis).

This is why we love to count this masterpiece, released by La Lumaca Dischi, among our Respirano catalogue.
